  Room was incredible, even thou undergoing Reno's it was still a great place to stay. Bedding was supplied for porta cot which was fantastic. 2 min walk to beach and that was amazing.
  Had an issue with smoke detector and it was fixed immediately.

  I was fortunate enough to obtain a reservation in this magnificent property. I love the bungalow where we stayed even if the place is a little chillie in winter. The stay includes a free tour of the fairy penguins search on the property and we got to witness a true wonder of these beautiful creatures in thier natural habitat. The rooms are spacious and the resort is simply gorgeous. Be sure to rent a room in this beautiful apartment you truly won't be disappointed.

  Stayed for a night in bicheno. The room was clean and looked new (likely newly refurbished), it had great view too. Little penguin tour was so so, the actual viewing point was closed for paid tours, having said that guests are still able to view from the deck which was OK if it's your first time seeing little penguins. Area of improvement would be the heating system esp important in winter. There was no hot water in the bathroom, office was closed at the point when we realised that. Upon hours of waiting and finally own investigation by opening up the electrical box, it has tripped. It took another 2 plus hours before the heating works. Shower was done way past midnight. The room was so cold even when the heater was tuned up to 30 degrees Celsius and upon own checking (after hours of waiting for it to heat up), found out the filter was stuck with likely renovation dust. I believe the resort is probably still struggling with lack of staff hence the overlook of pre-checks?

  Quite disappointed in the 'penguin show' and felt it was misleading as the advertising seems to indicate that you can see the penguins come up the beach each night. We were only allowed to see a couple through the fence as the beach access was locked off with a man standing guard to make sure no one came into the allocated penguin area. Apparently this is only for the paid tour - not for people who had already paid to stay at the resort. We were also not the only guests who felt they had been mislead.

  Beautiful location and view however non existent housekeeping. We stayed for four nights and the only housekeeping we received was a couple of towels and a toilet roll left on the dining table on the third day. Definitely overpriced.
